Most of our lives are not lived in dazzling light

A friend of mine posted a picture of this meadow from her backpacking trip many years ago and the image really resonated with me as a reminder of the rare sunny days which we cherish in Washington

the setting was truly idyllic

and the larches are all quite the sight after a tough hike

This awe-inspiring waterfall cascades down 611ft through some incredible cliffs and foliage

It was an idyllic morning
