Beaune Teurons 1er Cru, Chanson Vintage:2014Bright ruby. Delicate fragrances of violet mixed with very fresh aromas of black berries mixed with spices and a hint of vanilla. Well balanced with a tight texture. Complex and mouth coating. Well crafted tannins. Elegant and delicate aftertaste. After a cool and rainy winter and a frost episode in April, the warm and dry weather in spring was perfect for the flowering. In July and August the weather was more demanding but it became fine again early

The combination of the clay

At this temperature it takes 20 minutes for the still to start boiling

30% Chardonnay and 26% Meunier

The vineyards have clay stone soil with some sandy areas

namely Sauvignon Blanc

wet and not particularly hot summer

lighter bunches for early budding varieties like Sauvignon Blanc

revealing an end-palate that seems light and powdery at first

vinous character

even ripening – especially beneficial for our late ripening varieties

this wine has its serious side
