1986 Glenglassaugh The Macphail's collection Highland 18 year old Bottled 2004 40% GlengoyneThe distillery is based near Portsoy on the Banffshire coast overlooking the Moray Firth (AB45 2SQ). It was mothballed in 1986, but then was opened with some American backing in 2008. A typical highland, but with a hint of coastal giving the nose a fruity edge, with some sweetness and wood. The palate is sweet and toasted with apples and pears. The finish is medium with subtle sea and smoke. Colour: Gold. Nose: Very fresh, on light notes of flowers,
