Jesus Christ "Blessing" icon (2) Mounted on wood Sizes:6 X 8Orthodox Icon of Christ "Blessing"(2). In this icon our Jesus Christ is giving benediction and holding a Gospel book is one of the oldest iconographic types of Orthodox Icons of Christ. The dark red gown with a golden band around the shoulder indicates Christ's divine royalty. His human nature is symbolized by the dark blue color of the outergarment whose folds shine with gleams of light.
