but the ink and wash technique Perkins uses truly creates a magnificent and realistic looking armor as you can see by the Daystar image in the 5th panel

I've always found his story appearances very unsettling

In a great bit of writing

this is without a doubt some of the best work of Perkins' career

and the Prescot bio-agent half buried in the ground from the Suicide Squad arc
