At it's centre stands Te Deum, a work the composer refined over nearly three decades; the version heard here marks it's first recording in the form finally approved by Meyer himself. Also recorded for the first time are three of the four songs to texts by Friedrich Schiller, remarkable for both their poetic richness

The two tracks co-produced with Rostam Batmanglij (“Jupiter & Mars” and “Earth Alive”) were cut in Los Angeles
